Outdoor Wedding Reception

Our deck was my favorite part of the whole reception, the lights and hanging flowers created such a cool atmosphere. I didn't take pictures until really late at night so they came out a little grainy but in real life it was gorgeous.

We made cafe lights using this tutorial from Say Yes. We ordered really cheap ping-pong balls in bulk from Amazon and used 15 strands of LED lights that we already had. My dad and brother, the groom,  built a temporary structure on our deck to hang the lights from.

We rented soft-serve ice cream machines for the night, one chocolate and one vanilla.

We ordered the flowers over the phone, they are orchids that are usually used to make leis. We got a lot of help from family, friends, and the sister missionaries in our ward to string and hang all 2,000 orchids.

It was a beautiful, busy and fun night.
